COLD EMAIL
Let’s face it: 99% of cold emails get ignored. But the 1% that work? They are simple, clear, and speak directly to what the reader cares about.

If your cold email sounds like a pitch, smells like a pitch, or reads like it was written by ChatGPT on autopilot, it’s probably getting archived.
Tip #1: Write Like a Human, Not a Sales Bot
Bad example:
"Hi [first_name], I'm reaching out to see if you are interested in leveraging innovative growth solutions to optimize your funnel metrics."
Nobody talks like that.
Better:
"Hey John, saw your team just launched a new landing page. Curious if you are testing different offers or if it's already converting well."
It feels real. It sounds like a human. That’s what gets replies.
Tip #2: Make It About Them, Not You
Most cold emails fail because they lead with the sender:
"We help companies like yours" "Our platform does X, Y, and Z"
Flip it.
Talk about the reader first. Show them you understand their world. Then, lightly introduce how you can help.
Example:
"Saw you are hiring a couple SDRs. That usually means you’re ramping outbound. If you need help building clean, verified lead lists, I might be able to help."
Tip #3: One Clear CTA (Not 3)
Do not end with "Let me know what you think / open to chat / here's my calendar."
Just pick one.
Example:
"Worth a quick call to see if this could help your team? Here's my link if yes: [calendly]"
Simple. Confident. Easy to say yes to.
Bonus: What Actually Works Right Now (Real Examples)
Local SEO agency reached out to roofers with:
"Saw you have 100+ reviews but no Google Ads running. Want help testing one without committing to an agency retainer?" Got a 23% reply rate.
B2B SaaS founder to HR tech leaders:
"Noticed you are hiring for HRBP roles. We built a tool to automate onboarding docs in Notion. Want a 2 min demo?" Booked 8 calls from 92 emails.
The Takeaway
Great cold emails do not feel cold. They feel relevant, timely, and written by someone who actually gets the person they’re writing to.
Write fewer, better emails. Use plain language. Show you did your homework. And make it stupid simple to reply.
That’s how you stand out in a crowded inbox.
